Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony Organized at Tau Devi Lal Government PG College for Women

Murthal (Sonipat), April 2, 2026: The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26 was organized today at Tau Devi Lal Government Post Graduate College for Women. The event commenced with the College Principal, Dr. Seema Thakran, offering floral tributes at the feet of Goddess Saraswati.
The occasion was graced by the Convener of the Registrar Committee, Dr. Sanjeev, and members Dr. Suman Lata and Dr. Pradeep Boora, along with the Convener of the Prize Distribution Committee, Dr. Manoj, and members Dr. Savita, Dr. Meenu, and Dr. Sandeep Kumar. The stage was coordinated by Dr. Anupriya, Assistant Professor of Psychology.
In her address, the Principal highly praised the achievements of the students in various fields. She credited these accomplishments to the hard work of the students, as well as the guidance of their parents and teachers, encouraging them to reach new heights through continued dedication.
Honoring University Toppers
In the next phase of the program, students who brought laurels to the college by topping university examinations in previous years were honored with certificates and cash prizes:
● May 2021 Exams: Ms. Diksha (M.A. English) and Ms. Aanchal (B.A.).
● May 2023 Exams: Ms. Aanchal (M.A. Geography).
● May 2024 Exams: Ms. Ishrana (B.A. Hons. Geography), Preeti (B.Com), and Ms. Neetu (M.A. English).
College Level Achievements
Beyond university toppers, students securing first, second, and third positions at the college level were also awarded:
● May 2025 Examinations: 57 students were honored.
● December 2025 Examinations: 64 students were honored.
Co-curricular and Extracurricular Recognition
To motivate other students, cash prizes and certificates were distributed to:
● Best performers in various subjects for the session 2025-26.
● Students achieving excellence under various societies and cells.
● Best NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers.
Attendance and Conclusion
The ceremony saw the presence of several faculty members, including Dr. Jyoti and Dr. Komal (English), Dr. Savita and Dr. Praveen (Mathematics), Dr. Sanjeev (Sanskrit), Dr. Sushila, Dr. Manoj, Dr. Suman Lata, Dr. Geeta, and Dr. Rohit (Commerce), Dr. Annu (NCC In-charge), Dr. Meenu (History/NSS In-charge), Dr. Jasbir and Dr. Vinod Khatri (Chemistry), Dr. Priyanka (Economics), Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Naveen, Dr. Ajay, and Dr. Vikas (Geography), and members of the Computer Science department.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Savita Malik, followed by the National Anthem.
